South Korea's Basic Act on AI (AI Framework Act) is a comprehensive law that promotes AI while imposing obligations on 'high-impact' and generative AI — including risk management, safety measures, transparency and labeling of AI-generated content, and human oversight. It applies extraterritorially to providers serving the Korean market.
